Description

Hello everyone, :wave:

How are you? Are you doing well? I sure hope that you are! My goodness! It's been a while since I've posted here on deviantart, hasn't it? :phew: I know I'm VERY overdo in writing a new journal entry especially, and I know my artistic flow had come to a grinding hault for QUITE some time now too..... :ashamed:  Some of this was due to health reasons, which continue to be an issue even now, as well as other changes in my life, involving living arrangements for instance..... But the one thing that I am very happy to share with all of you, as I mentioned in my last journal entry that I'd written last fall, was the fact that :iconpyropainter: and I were planning and have now since gotten married! :love:

The ceremony took place a few weeks ago on 2/12/15 and the two of us were married at the Penn Museum in Philadelphia Pennsyvlania, in the Lower Egyptian Exhibit.  This backdrop was part of a special promotion the museum offers called the "Simple and Sweet" package, which allows for couples to be married in any number of museum exhibits or outdoor settings.  And since both :iconpyropainter: and I wanted something artistic, and given that we were both fans of Ancient Egyptian culture, the Egyptian exhibit seemed perfect for the two of us! :D

Furthermore, I wanted to go with a somewhat, Sailor Moon themed wedding as well.  As a result, my good friend :iconeshemilana: had made my wedding gown by hand, in order to resemble a cross between Princess Serenity's gown and Usagi's own wedding dress at the end of the manga.  I also thought it would be a lot of fun to have my bridesmaids (whom :iconeshemilana: was of course invited to be part of!) dress similarly to the Sailor Princesses of their choice! Many of my closest friends were invited to stand up with me, and my Matron of Honor was without a doubt going to be my best friend and honorary sister :icondanni-stone:!  Similarly, I was also her Maid of Honor as well, when she and her husband married in 2006. :D  :iconpyropainter: also played along with my chosen theme by wearing an amulet similar to what Tuxedo Mask wears, while he also sported a cane and white gloves.  He had acquired a top hat as well, but alas, he'd forgotten to take pictures wearing it. ^^;

Furthermore, we both chose our own wedding bands, mine of intricately carved rose gold, while he picked one that was actually made of the metals from a true fallen meteorite!  And last but not least, we even had a Sailor Moon/Batman themed wedding cake, which I'll post more pictures of later. :)  In the image above however, I did include a photograph of our cake toppers, featuring Batman and Princess Serenity, which seemed fitting given the theme, as we had Batman elements as well, such as entrance music from the Batman Animated Series cartoon, and that even my older brother had given :iconpyropainter: a Batman clip to wear on his tuxedo.  In a nutshell, :iconpyropainter: just loves Batman as a whole, so I often try to purchase gifts of this topic, on his behalf! :)

And last but not least, :iconpyropainter: and I were married by our good friend Andre, as I had mentioned in a previous deviation, as seen here, Ann and Andre: Wedding Officiant Available in NYC! by Yamigirl21.  The image actually depicts both Andre and Ann aka :iconeshemilana: who were both instrumental to making my special day as wonderful as it could be!  We actually have *many* people that we could thank profusely in helping us prepare for that day during these past six months! Rest assured that both :iconpyropainter: and I have already taken steps in doing so, but for now, I wanted to thank all of YOU who are both looking at the images above and reading this post, for supporting and encouraging me all these years as I waited for my Happily Ever After! :thanks:

There were times I wondered if such a day would ever come for me, and when I would feel down, I would simply have to read your wonderful comments about my work or even events that were occuring in my life, and I'd feel as if I had the strength to go on, to continue with my craft, and wait patiently for the right man to come along.

I really and truly felt the need to thank each and every one of you for that, and to share part of my happiness with  all of you as well!  Once more, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and hopefully soon I'll be able to post even more frequently than I have been.  There are still some medical issues that have yet to be resolved, that may hinder my artwork for a bit longer,  but I'll be sure to take it one day at a time!  Until then, I hope you'll be as patient, and as amazingly supportive as you always been! Thank you again, for absolutely everything, everyone! Until next time then! :wave:

Lots of Love, :blowkiss:
