Serenity's Tuxedo Style Dress

Hello everyone!

It's been a little while, hasn't it? But I guess this time frame is pretty good for me given how long it usually takes me to post anything around here. Seriously though, it's great to be back here! ^___^ I've missed everyone! Gosh, I still need to catch up on messages but I wanted to post a fun little image that I came up, which started with an initial sketch that I posted a little while ago:



To summarize what I said then, though I am experimenting with other types of art, I thought I'd go with the fan art urge whenever it struck me and for whatever reason this idea really wanted to emerge!

Actually this is only part of another piece that I plan to do later, to thank you all for my 50,000+ hits but more on that another time.....

To prepare for that piece though, I came up with the concept of designing a Tuxedo-Style dress for Serenity, hence the title of this small painting. I actually had a lot of fun coming up with this one! I designed the outfit myself from head to toe thanks to a little inspiration from various dress magazines and what not.

Evidently, I wanted it to be very much like Tuxedo Mask's style of tuxedo (down to the colored highlights and the buttons) but I also wanted it to look rather sleek and sexy on Serenity too. I especially wanted to take care in her stockings and the matching see through material above her chest. I thought that dark stockings with a rose embroidary mixed in would be a nice touch to the dress itself.

And I thought I'd have at least a little bit of a "Sailor" aspect to the design with the big bow up front (which could also be similar to Tuxedo Mask's bow tie in a sense) with another big bow in the back, though I wanted the bow in the back to have long ribbons, similar to the coat tails on a real tuxedo. To complete the "Tuxedo Mask" idea I of course added the actual mask and Serenity holding a single rose; Tuxedo Mask's trademarks.

Overall, it was a very fun design and painting! I hope that you guys like it too. True it's a simple one, but I hope that it's effective as well; maybe even eye catching and original?

Anyways, I suppose that's it for now. I still hope to post more new works as quickly as I can. As stated previously, I will still do fan art too, but again I also want to see what I can come up with with my own imagination so be on the look out! Thanks again everyone! Take care now!
