Hello once again everyone ^_^

I'm still posting old works again but I've finally come to the last string of them with this piece and the one that follows this one. After that, it'll be completely new works again! And don't worry everyone! There WILL be new works to post soon!

This piece was completed August 8, 2002. It was actually a commission for my own dear friend ! The piece is an illustration of sorts for her wonderful fanfiction:

Her work of writing is based on the continuity of the "Lunar" game series; specifically the time line and series of events that took place in "Lunar: Silver Star" for Sega CD and "Lunar: Silver Star Story," for Playstation 1.

Her story, however takes a different approach than simply using those already established in the real game series. She instead creates her own new characters, who not only interact with the game's key players (as well as a few established events that take place during the course of the story) but these new equally interesting creations of hers also take part in their own adventures; ones full of mystery, humor and tragedy alike....

The image above is a depiction of 's two main characters, Yasuo (left) and Portia (right). The image serves to illustrate two of her major plot points as well; the bond that these characters share with one another, in addition to a strange and disturbing transformation that Yasuo undergoes throughout her work of fiction; one that leads him to begin a quest to seek answers, and a truth he may or may not wish to know......

In a nutshell, I was asked to portray my version of Portia and a partly transformed Yasuo who at this point is sporting blood red eyes, and sharp menacing claws.... To create the atmosphere, I also included a dark thunderous night in the forest, while the magical city of "Vane" looms high in the sky.

The image was done in opaque water color.
