Hello everyone!
Happy Holidays to you! I hope you're all enjoying this holiday season! Well, given the Christmas atmosphere, it may seem a little strange depicting characters that are argueably more Halloween oriented, eh?
But in truth, this image is a gift (albeit a work in progress) for my fiancee, 
, which depict a few of his favorite leading ladies, Morrigan Aensland from the video game franchise Nightstalkers, aka Darkstalkers, as well as the famous Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
,
In all honesty, I know very very little about either of these women, with the exception of seeing a DarkStalkers anime a few months ago along side of, briefly seeing a 1990s American adaption of the video game characters, all those years ago, and of course seeing her design portrayed by cosplayers everywhere. But I had never played the game myself and I didn't know much about the history of the character either.
Similarly, though of course I'd seen Elvira, and the actress potraying her on Tv and magazines here and there throughout the 80s, 90s and afterwards, I never watched any of her shows or films either. however, was quite familar with them both, and talked about them fondly. 
Perhaps it was due to their physical attributes or maybe he simply enjoyed the games, and movies for one reason or another. Either way, I thought it would be a fun idea to have these women interacting within an image! I wasn't intending for anything too complex; just these two, who would appear to have a lot in common, toasting to each other and perhaps to the viewer as well; namely 
I haven't thought too much about a background as of yet, and with another few images that are also in progress that need to be completed, I'm not quite certain when the piece will be done either. But even so, I worked very hard to finish the line art of this image, at the very least, by the time we exchanged Christmas gifts! And I was happy to see that he was both surprised and pleased by the image, even so far!
I guess I'll leave it at that for now, you guys! I'll be going away until after Christmas to visit my family, out of state! I'll try to pop on in the following week and see if I can try to catch up on messages. But if not, I'll be back after the holidays! Take good care now, everyone!
